A leading EMS (electronic manufacturing services) company was looking at rolling out SAP (Material management, Sales and distribution, production planning, Finance control and costing and technical-BASICS and ABAP) to its new plant manufacturing components that were earlier outsourced. It involved understanding of the current business processes to be rolled out to the new plant. Also, the process for manufacturing of components being different, it required the processes to be mapped diligently.

FocusR provided a simple and robust solution where standard configurations were used and customizations provided as per business need.

Benefits : A key highlight was the roll out of Product Costing. During the implementation, processes were tweaked and simplified with customizations and minor enhancements to make it efficient. FocusR continues to provide support and is also implementing in new plants added.

Our knowledge of the industry and the process standardization has been leveraged from time to time. GST and similar roll outs are seen as an opportunity to improve processes. One such engagement was for rolling out GST for its India plants for a global leader in modified plastics used in automotive and consumer products. The roll out was completed in four weeks along with optimizing processes related to production accounting, raw material procurement and pricing. We helped improve the tracking of Tax and forex transactions.

A Saudi Arabia based organization established in 2014 in the business of Pizza and pizza components in the ready to eat market. This was spread across 190 outlets with 4 central kitchens that supplied the pizzas and toppings etc. FocusR has been providing Annual support since 2018. Given the products had very low shelf life and dynamic nature of demand, it required a highly accurate forecasting mechanism. FocusR implemented DeMantra for Demand Planning. Demantra required and in depth understanding of the current landscape to set up the module. It required using relevant inputs to be functional and useful. FocusR improved the integration with a third-party system for retail business automating process for material adjustments and stock in Oracle EBS.

Benefits : Our all-rounded expertise helped devise better controls in HR and Payroll systems, ASCP for material requirement and production planning, Property Manager for leased assets, LCM –Landed cost management and IFRS. Approximately 30% on annual maintenance cost was saved due to efficiencies of integration and automation of manual steps. Indirect savings from Reconciliation and data streamlining has contributed efficiencies in inventory management and accounting.
